Celebrating a co-op Thanksgiving
On Nov. 28, our nation will celebrate Thanksgiving — a day when we collectively pause to express gratitude. During this holiday season, EKPC expresses our gratitude for some of the people and programs that make it a privilege to provide affordable, reliable power to our 16 owner-member cooperatives.
We are thankful for:
- All the veterans who were celebrated on Nov. 11, including 72 heroes who Kentucky’s Touchstone Energy Cooperatives sponsored on this year’s Honor Flight to view their war memorials in Washington, D.C.
- The linemen who maintain approximately 3,000 miles of transmission lines across 72 Kentucky counties. Without these employees, our world would be dark.
- Our 700 employees who work diligently to provide safe, reliable and affordable electricity to our 16 owner-members.
- Renewable power from Cooperative Solar and also the cooperative-sponsored environmental stewardship projects that care for our Kentucky home.
- Kentucky’s Touchstone Energy Cooperatives, of which EKPC is a member. Working together, our co-op family supports important initiatives such as teacher education to improve science, technology, engineering and math education in our local schools.
We wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!
