EKPC is working to improve the reliability of the transmission system while reducing the environmental impact. In locations that are difficult to access and particularly sensitive to outages, we are replacing wood poles with steel poles. And EKPC is examining the replacement of breakers containing sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) to prevent the leakage of this powerful greenhouse gas.
